ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Ledger Dance Studios seeks to spark the development of our students throughout their entire education. Our teaching community is made up of a group of talented and creative professional instructors, who are passionate about offering the best dance opportunities for all. Ledger Dance Studios offers the tools and support necessary for our students to reach their full potential.

Ledger Dance Studios is an accredited member of International Performing Arts and Theatre (I-PATH). As a dance and performing arts school we take part in competitions, produce our own productions and shows. Our pupils take part in achievement awards, trophies and medals throughout the year in a range of disciplines.

Evie Ledger-Knapp

Evie trained as a professional dancer and Musical Theatre performer at SLP College, Leeds and has worked professionally for many years. Her recent work has also taken her to Disneyland Paris and aboard Costa Cruises around Asia and the South Pacific. Evie has also worked as a Resort Director for the 5* Sensatori Holidays and most recently has choreographed for TUI holidays latest cruise ship: the TUI Marella Explorer.

 

Along with gaining her Level 6 Trinity National Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre and an accredited teacher of the I-PATH qualifications, Evie has worked within dance education and is also involved with the running of the dance school including: promotion, administration and organisation of classes.

Matilda Rowland

Matilda has a Masters degree in Dance and Choreography from University of Derby and runs EastLab Dance company which provides interactive children's theatre pieces. Matilda also works as a freelance practitioner at DEDA.

 Rosie Roberts

Graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Completing MA with ‘The Collective’ Postgraduate Company, Rosie is a community dancer for East Lab Dance Company with a foundation of contemporary dance technique. Rosie is also the Academy/ Dance Participation Coordinator for Déda and has taught and assisted from ages 3-21+ across the community; including Fabric’s CAT and Outreach Programmes, Nottingham Forest Holiday Scheme, in schools and dance programmes. Rosie also has experience in stage management, arts administration and fundraising events.

Chris Ledger-Knapp

Chris has a Masters degree in Music Education and is our resident Music/Singing teacher. Chris also provides sound engineering for our studios and events.
